Finding Your GROOVE: A Supportive Space for Neurodivergent Adults

Being a neurodivergent adult is hard enough – and when living with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, figuring out relationships, emotions, and “how to adult” can feel even more overwhelming. That’s where GROOVE comes in.

GROOVE is a therapy-based group for individuals ages 18 and up who are living with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Designed for those navigating the ups and downs of adulthood, GROOVE offers a safe and supportive space to connect with peers, explore personal growth, and build everyday life skills – together. The group encourages, resilience, nurtures optimism, and creates opportunities for self-discovery, empowerment, and a clearer vision for the future.

This isn’t a social skills group. GROOVE dives deeper, blending clinical insight with real-life conversations and hands-on tools. Participants talk about real-life topics – relationships, emotions, stress, self-awareness, communication, boundaries – and discover ways to thrive in a world that doesn’t always feel easy to navigate.

Each session is thoughtfully guided by trained facilitators and includes space for open discussion and mutual support. Members are encouraged to set individual goals, explore how they process the world, and better understand themselves and their relationships. It’s a space to show up as you are – and grow at your own pace.

Group Structure & Schedule

GROOVE meets twice a month – on the first and third Thursdays – and runs in 8-week cycles. The group is small and focused, so an application is required to ensure a good fit and help each participant get the most out of the experience.

In addition to regular group meetings, GROOVE includes occasional community outings – fun, low-pressure opportunities to practice interpersonal skills, strengthen connections, and experience new environments in a supportive way.

What GROOVE Members Explore:

·       How their brain works and how they interpret social situations

Over time, members may notice feeling more confident, more socially connected, and better equipped to handle the challenges of adult life – with less anxiety and more clarity about who they are.
