Grant a Gift Approved for Financial Support Through the American Recovery Act

We are beyond honored and excited to have been granted $8.5 million through the American Recovery Act. These dollars awarded to Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center will go toward increasing our capacity and creating greater access for ALL families to receive affordable access to best-in-class care. Our mission remains the same to help everyone living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities – regardless of what insurance they have.

Details of the strategy are still unfolding, and we should know more in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, we are working diligently to gear up for hiring over 100 positions within our organization. The providers that we are looking to hire are highly specialized. Please know this will take time as we recruit for these positions.

We never want to sacrifice quality for quantity and will be looking for clinicians who share our same values. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this process, Aging and Disability, ATAP, the Interim Finance Committee, the governor’s office, our staff, board members, and most importantly the families and communities that we serve.

Keep checking back here for updates on the details and rollout strategy.
