Nine Sensory-Friendly Performances, Countless Memories: Blue Man Group Continues to Create Unforgettable Experiences for Grant a Gift Families

On Sunday, June 14th, families from across Southern Nevada gathered at Luxor Hotel and Casino for the ninth Sensory-Friendly Performance benefitting Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center.

What began in 2015 as a shared commitment to inclusion has grown into one of the community's most anticipated events, creating unforgettable experiences for thousands of children and families while raising more than $100,000 through nine sensory-friendly performances in support of Grant a Gift's mission.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this would be a special afternoon. Blue Man Group and the team at Luxor once again went above and beyond to create an experience designed with accessibility, fun, and family connection in mind.

Attendees enjoyed complimentary popcorn and water, glow sticks, fans, glasses, and a decorate-your-own drumstick activity before the show. The custom drumsticks quickly became a favorite part of the experience, with audience members enthusiastically drumming along throughout the performance and filling the theater with energy, excitement, and participation.

On stage, the Blue Men delivered their signature mix of music, creativity, humor, and audience interaction, all while incorporating sensory-friendly modifications that help make the experience accessible for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Adjustments to sound and lighting levels, reduced audience interaction, available sensory supports, and a designated quiet space allowed families to enjoy the performance in an environment designed with their needs in mind.

A Team Committed to Inclusion

One of the most remarkable aspects of this event is the dedication of the Blue Man Group performers themselves. Year after year, the performers, theater staff, and volunteers give their time and talent to make this show possible, and many have shared that it is their favorite performance of the year. Their enthusiasm, generosity, and genuine commitment to the families they serve are evident in every moment of the experience.

This year's event also included a special presentation from Grant a Gift Autism Foundation. During the performance, Emily Hayes, Director of Marketing and Events, took the stage to present Blue Man Group with a commemorative award recognizing their extraordinary friendship, partnership, and nine unforgettable performances and years of support for the autism community. The presentation served as a heartfelt thank you for nearly a decade of creating inclusive experiences and helping families make lasting memories together.

Events like these are about much more than entertainment. They create opportunities for families to experience community, connection, and joy in spaces intentionally designed to be welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

Thank You

Grant a Gift Autism Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to Blue Man Group, the performers, and the entire team at Luxor Las Vegas for their continued partnership and unwavering commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Their generosity has helped make this event a cherished tradition for families throughout Southern Nevada.

We are also incredibly grateful to our sponsors, Subway, The Ace Pacheco Foundation, and Chit Chat Therapy. Their support helped make this year's event possible and expanded access for families who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend.

Proceeds from the event support Grant a Gift's ongoing mission to provide clinical services, education, advocacy, resources, and support for individuals and families living with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Every dollar raised stays in Nevada, directly benefiting local children and families through programs and services offered at the Ackerman Center.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this year's event, thank you for helping us celebrate nine incredible performances and a partnership built on inclusion, accessibility, and community.

We cannot wait to see what year ten brings.
